Rosa Mercedes is an internationally acclaimed Spanish dancer, choreographer, castanet concert soloist, educator, and artistic director whose career has spanned some of the world's leading opera houses, concert stages, festivals, and theaters. Widely recognized as one of the foremost ambassadors of Spanish dance and music traditions, she has devoted her artistic life to preserving and reimagining the rich heritage of Spain through performance, choreography, and education.
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Rosa Mercedes is distinguished not only for her mastery of Spanish dance forms—including flamenco, escuela bolera, folklore, and classical Spanish dance—but also for her exceptional artistry as a castanet concert soloist.
